Bitcoin Betting on Formula 1

If there is a motor sport that receives international recognition and attention, it is definitely Formula 1. There are also other well-known motor sport events such as the DTM or NASCAR, but these are rather regionally limited sports and do not attract the international interest as Formula 1. The core centre of this sport is particularly located in Europe. In order to be included in the racing calendar as a venue, high sums have to be paid to the organiser for each race. Many countries around the world are willing to pay the high sums, which proves the worldwide importance of this motor sport.

Formula 1 or F1 in the true sense is the entire set of rules of the Formula 1 World Championship, which sets the conditions and guidelines for their staging. A Formula 1 World Championship has been held annually since 1950. Mostly 19 races (Grand Prix) are driven per season. The driver with the highest points from these races becomes World Champion of the season.

History

The beginnings of this racing sport lie between the beginning and the middle of the 20th century, when the first racy and above all powerful vehicles existed. The first fascination for this sport arose in the 1930s. Of course, this was also driven by the fact that it was still a special feature to see such a vehicle at that time. At that time a motorized car was a rarity and most people had no access at all. Of course, this popularity was also used by political forces at that time.

After the Second World War, the development took off at a rapid pace, as of course technical progress also found its way into Formula 1 and motor sport in general, and increasingly powerful engines were developed accordingly, as well as the knowledge of aerodynamics certainly immensely improved.

Legendary here are the so-called silver arrows from Mercedes, from where these racing cars still have their nickname today. However, Ferrari was also involved in the race from the very beginning. Today’s basic shape with corresponding rear wings slowly took shape in the late 60s and early 70s. From this time on the basic design and the construction were only modified and adapted to the state of the art. This is also true in connection with ever newer materials, which have become much lighter and more stable.

The patronage or rather the supervision of Formula 1 today is held by the international automobile association FIA. On the other hand, the marketing rights are held by a private company, which is controlled by Bernie Ecclestone and from which he was able to build up considerable assets.

Explanation of the Formula 1 rules

The race itself consists of a qualification race on Saturday and a main race on the following Sunday. Before the respective weekend there are usually free trainings on the race tracks on Friday, where you can get to know the track and make modifications to the vehicle according to the current regulations.

Qualifying (time trial) is about who gets what starting position and pole position at the front. Qualifying is divided into three parts. In the first part, all drivers from the field may participate and qualify for the second round within 20 minutes via the fastest time. The six drivers with the worst times will then retire from qualifying and retain their previous positions. In the second run the six drivers with the worst times will be eliminated again in another 15 minutes. In the third and last race the remaining 10 drivers will have their starting positions for the following race. The starting positions experienced there are valid for the race on Sunday.

There are, of course, rules for the rest of the race and penalties for offences, which are imposed by the race commissioners, but which do not necessarily have to be the same for similar offences. The following are punishable: deliberate or grossly negligent causing of collisions, unauthorized shortening of the race track, if this results in advantages, constant leaving of the race track limitation, speed of more than 80 km/h in the pit lane as well as unauthorized coaching of the driver from the command station, with which the drivers are in constant contact by radio. Penalties can be fines as well as time penalties (also passage penalties by the pit lane, standing times…).

Changing the engine or other major modifications to the vehicle will also result in penalties. In these cases, the drivers are usually penalised with a reset in the starting position, so that they usually have to start last in the peloton or from the pit lane.

The races have different lap numbers due to the different track lengths. The aim of a race is to score points for the overall standings with the best possible placings. The driver with the most points at the end of a season wins the World Championship. Furthermore, the Constructors’ World Championship is awarded to the best team, which is also achieved by points.

Types of bets in Formula 1

Sports betting options The betting options for Formula 1 are very different and offer bet types from many other sports. The most common betting options are:

  • Winner: If a bet on the winner would not be possible, it would be very strange. So you can bet on the winner of a race in the first place.
  • Overall winner: In addition to bets on the winner of a single race, there are also long-term bets on the world champion of a season. On the one hand, you need staying power and, under certain circumstances, strong nerves if there is a streak of bad luck or a series of breakdowns from the favourite.
  • Head-to-Head: In the Head-to-Head bet type, two drivers who take part in the race are faced against each other in a duel and then bet on one of the two drivers who is believed to perform better in the end (only in an individual race).
  • Fastest lap: A very important point in Formula 1 is also the fastest lap. During the race it is always shown who has driven it at the current time. With this bet you give a guess who will probably drive the fastest lap.
  • Placement bets: If you are not quite sure whether a driver will reach a certain position exactly or just want a little protection, you can take placement bets. For example, it can be predicted that a driver will be among the first three, first five or similar.

Tips and tricks

In Formula 1, you can very quickly be tempted to always bet on your favourite, which can be recognized very quickly by the low odds. One should always keep in mind, however, that Formula 1 is a sport in which the favourite can be eliminated very quickly through no fault of one’s own through collision, accident or simply through the defect in a component. Then it would be all the more annoying if one has set a high amount on a low quota, which seemed to be safe, but in the end turned out to be a flop. Therefore it is better not to do this.

Bet on Formula 1 with Bitcoin

Especially in Formula 1 live betting is recommended as it is the best way to react and bet on the current race events. So one can assume that at a certain point in time no more accidents are to be expected, because the field is far enough apart or one suspects that the runner-up will win.

Under this point the most important Formula 1 drivers as well as Formula 1 teams but also the historical records will be examined more closely and briefly presented.
